Meet Our Staff
Shayla Gerena, Office Manager
Shayla joined Sip Signature Dentistry in 2007 and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our office. Shayla coordinates patient scheduling, billing, treatment plans, and insurance. She enjoys interacting with patients and is grateful to work with such a great doctor and team. Before joining our practice, Shayla managed a very high volume Brandon area hair studio and spa and studied fashion marketing and design. She is a Brandon, Florida native and enjoys piano, arts and crafts, and spending time with her husband and two beautiful children.
Robin Helton, Dental Hygienist
Robin is an experienced dental assistant and hygienist who joined our staff in 2006. As a hygienist at Sip Signature Dentistry, she strives to give the highest quality of care to each patient as she educates them about their oral hygiene with an emphasis on how it impacts their overall health. Robin has studied at the University of Kentucky and Shawnee State University and earned degrees in both biology and dental hygiene. Robin finds her work very rewarding when she can educate and motivate her patients to help them regain their smile and confidence. She is married and the mother to three boys - Blake, Gage, and Tate. She also loves Cocker spaniels and has three!
Tina McCotter, Dental Hygienist
Tina has been part of our team since 1995. Tina graduated with Honors in 1988 from St. Petersburg College with an Associates of Science degree and is a member of the Dental Hygiene National Honor Society. As a dental hygienist, she enjoys working with the family of patients she has gotten to know throughout the years. She enjoys working at Sip Signature Dentistry because her team members always go out of their way to provide the best care for patients. Tina always goes the extra mile to make sure patients who have a fear of dentistry have a good, comfortable experience.
Christina Schrecengost, E.F.D.A., C.O.A., Dental Assistant
After many years as an orthodontic assistant, Christina joined our team in 2008. As a Dental Assistant at Sip Signature Dentistry, she spends her days assisting Dr. Sip in clinical procedures, x-rays, and impressions. Christina is certified in Expanded Functions in Dental Assisting (E.F.D.A.), is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant (C.O.A.), Radiology Certified, and Invisalign Certified. Christina was a patient of Dr. Sip’s for 6 years prior to joining the practice and decided to make a career change to general dentistry because she liked Dr. Sip and his staff so much. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time outdoors camping and at the beach with her husband and son.
